About Consortium

Since 2000 a cooperative partnership between zoos in the United States has been a driving force behind the conservation efforts at Punta San Juan. The Saint Louis Zoo, Chicago Zoological Society, and Kansas City Zoo are the managing partners of this consortium in collaboration with CSA-UPCH. Additional generous support is received from other zoos around the world. The consortium employs two full-time biologists on-site at Punta San Juan who are committed to conservation of the wildlife at this amazing protected area. The consortium also supports the core operations of the reserve research station.
