Research
Our aim is to conduct research following standardized methodologies as a means to investigate topics of interest to the Punta San Juan Program. This will allow us to answer research questions that are relevant to population biology, marine ecology, reproductive biology, and sustainability of resources of the Humboldt Current upwelling ecosystem.

This axis includes a very important area of work for the Punta San Juan Program: monitoring of local wildlife. By monitoring wildlife and environment conditions we aim to better understand: (i) ecosystem variability in real time¨ to be able make recommendations and management decisions in situ and (ii) long-term variability of the ecosystem and the species residing at Punta San Juan.
