"Punta San Juan is one of my favourite places in the world. I love the beautifully stark contrast between the parched and barren land, and the shoreline so abundant with coastal life, from fur seals and sea lions, to penguins, pelicans and boobies, and even the occasional vampire bat! Doing research at Punta San Juan involves lots of sea air, warm sun, friendly conversations with local and international researchers, and wonderful drama provided by the marine wildlife"
